Verifone Credit Card Processing Service - How They Can Help Your Business

VeriFone is one of the largest makers of point of sale (POS) equipment in the world. They were founded and incorporated in Hawaii in 1981, and named themselves after their first product, the Verification telephone. VeriFone Credit Card Processing Equipment is well-known in the electronic payment market.

Their principal product lines have included point of sale, merchant operated, consumer facing and self service payment systems for multiple industries. Their most notable customers are often in the financial, retail, hospitality, petroleum, government, and healthcare markets.

VeriFone has sold numerous point of sale credit card reading products, including the long running Tranz 330, introduced in 1985. The company's most popular current products is the Omni 3700 Family. In 2005, VeriFone introduced its newest line of products, Verix Solutions.

These include the Vx510 and Vx570, which are countertop solutions offering dialup or Ethernet access, and the Vx610 and Vx670 which are portable, include batteries, and an integrated wireless communications module. The Vx610 is offered in GPRS, CDMA, and WiFi wireless configurations, and is considered a "countertop mobile" product.

The Vx670 is a true portable or "hand-over" version available with GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth integrated communications modules. The Vx670, in particular, is a strong deterrent against the theft of credit information because the customer is no longer required to relinquish possession of his or her credit card, instead transacting directly with the Vx670 in a "pay at table" fashion.

Today's generation of VeriFone Credit Card Processing terminals will support a variety of payment applications. The Vx570 is the latest IP terminal with upgraded features, most notably a faster processor, a larger paper bay, and a new highly readable backlit display with black lettering on a white background.

VeriFone's Vx terminals offer a user friendly, ATM style interface, large display, printing capabilities and an integrated PIN pad in a compact, "hand-over" design. Then, by adding modularity to the base models, this unit offers multiple communication module ports for both dialup and broadband DSL and Cable modems.

VeriFone Credit Card Processing Equipment set the standard with its original 16-key keypad. This format has worked well for the POS market. Modern VeriFone terminal keypads remain uncomplicated today, while incorporating useful features like screen addressable keys.

As a long established manufacturer, VeriFone has a wide range of products covering all aspects of the transaction processing market. From basic to complex, you're likely to find a VeriFone Credit Card Processing product that will work for your needs.
